Owner reports broken door lock, missing registration sticker
Kennett Square Police said they are investigating a theft reported on Aug. 2 that allegedly occurred sometime between July 12 and Aug. 2 when a vehicle’s lock mechanism was broken on the driver’s side while it was parked in the 700 block of South Washington Street. In addition, police said a 2014 registration sticker was stolen.
Borough police arrested Luis Martinez-Leon, 28, of Avondale, for suspected drunken-driving following a traffic stop in the 800 block of West State Street on July 29 at 9:25 p.m., police said. Martinez-Leon was released to a friend pending a summons from district court, police said.
Walter Maldonado-Carrillo, 20, of Kennett Square, was arrested for unsworn falsification, false ID and public drunkenness for an incident that occurred in the 600 block of South Walnut Street on July 30 at 10:01 p.m., police said. Maldonado-Carrillo was released pending a summons from district court, police said.
