He is accused of requesting that police be dispatched so he could kill them
A Kennett Square man who called 9-1-1 and requested that police be dispatched so that he could kill them has been jailed for terroristic threats and harassment, police said.
Kennett Square Police said they arrested Walter Maldonado-Carrillo, 20, in the 400 block of East South Street on Aug. 11 at 11:16 p.m. He was arraigned in district court and remanded to Chester County Prison after failing to post $5,000 cash bail.
On Aug. 8 at 8:58 p.m., Kennett Square Police cited Enrique Flores-Cruz, 19, and Beto Hernandez-Gomez, 19, both of Kennett Square, for open container/underage drinking following a traffic stop in the 700 block of West State Street, police said. Eduardo Gomez-Perez, 19, of Kennett Square, was arrested for false identification to law enforcement and open container/underage drinking. Gomez-Perez was released pending a summons from district court, police said.
Police are seeking the owner of two sets of car keys turned in at the station. One was found on Aug. 7 at 8 p.m. in the 700 block of Wayne Avenue, and another was found on Aug. 13 at 8:30 a.m. in the 300 block of North Union Street, police said.
A burglary that reportedly occurred sometime between June 28 and Aug. 4 in the 500 block of West Mulberry Street is under investigation, police said.
Also under investigation is a report of criminal mischief that occurred sometime overnight on Aug. 4 when a vehicle parked in the 700 block of South Washington Street was egged, police said.
On Aug. 9 at 11:36 p.m., police arrested Jesus Lopez-Bedolla, 18, of Kennett Square, for driving under the influence following a traffic stop in the 200 block of East Cypress Street, police said. Lopez-Bedolla was released to a parent pending a summons from district court, police said.
An attempted theft was reported to Kennett Square Police on Aug. 5, police said. Sometime between July 29 at 3:30 p.m. and July 31 at 4:30 p.m., someone attempted to break into a trailer parked in the 600 block of Terminal Way, police said, adding that an investigation is continuing.
