Oxford resident lost control at U.S. 1 and Rt. 52 on Saturday

Image 2An Oxford man who overturned his vehicle on southbound U.S. 1 on Saturday at 3:50 a.m. in Kennett Township was driving drunk, said state police from the Avondale barracks.

Police said Juan C. Luna, 24, lost control of his vehicle at the intersection of U.S. 1 and Rt. 52, causing the vehicle to exit the roadway and overturn, police said. Luna was extricated, transported to Crozer Chester Medical Center, and determined to have been driving under the influence, police said.

State police from the Avondale barracks said Jose Alejandro Murillo-Bedolla, 29, of Wilmington, De., crashed his vehicle into a road sign in the 900 block of Creek Road in Kennett Township on Sunday at 6 p.m. Troopers determined that Murillo-Bedolla was operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol, police said.

Kennett Square Police cited Earl Fountain, 57, of Kennett Square, for disorderly conduct on Aug. 23 at 11:35 p.m. in the 200 block of Birch Street after being observed urinating in public, police said.

On Aug. 24, police said they took a report that sometime between Aug. 3 and Aug. 17, a residence located in the 400 block of Ridge Avenue was burglarized and several pieces of jewelry were taken. An investigation is continuing, police said.

Eduardo Diaz, 22, of Kennett Square, was arrested for driving under the influence on Aug. 25 at 1:20 a.m. following a one-vehicle traffic accident in the 900 block of South Walnut Street, Kennett Square Police said. Diaz was released at his residence pending a summons from district court, police said.
