Authorities said gun-toting bandit stole $182.50  from E. Marlborough store

Image 2A man wearing a purple Baltimore Ravens sweatshirt and black jacket armed with “a long gun” robbed the 24-hour CVS Pharmacy on East Baltimore Pike in East Marlborough Township on Monday at 2:03 a.m., said state police from the Avondale barracks.

Police said the bandit handed a brown paper bag to the cashier with instructions to “put the money in the bag.” The robber, a black male who was also wearing black pants, fled in an unknown direction with $182.50, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call the barracks at 610-268-2022.

Kennett Square Police are investigating the theft of an iPhone from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 400 block of Meredith Street sometime between 8:15 and 9:20 a.m. on Aug. 27, police said.

Nichole Kennedy, 39, of Kennett Square, received a citation from borough police for public drunkenness on Aug. 30 at 12:30 a.m. at South Broad and Birch Streets, police said, adding that Kennedy was released at her residence.

 

On Aug. 30 at 11:30 a.m., a resident of the 300 block of Harvey Circle reported that someone had opened a Dish Network account using his Social Security Number, police said, adding that an investigation is continuing.

Investigating report of theft.  Sometime overnight Sat. 8/31/13, several vehicles parked at a business located in the 100 block South Walnut Street were broken in to and items were taken.  Investigation continues

Roderick Mackenzie, 33, Kennett Square, was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Sept. 1 at 9:26 p.m. in the 800 block of South Walnut Street, police said.  Mackenzie was released at his residence, pending summons from district court, police said.

Kennett Square Police arrested Gilberto Jimenez-Ibarra, 24, of Avondale, for drunken-driving and providing a false ID to law enforcement following a traffic stop on Sept. 1 at 10:36 p.m. in the 400 block of East South Street, police said.  Jimenez-Ibarra was released at his residence pending a summons from district court, police said.
