Monday night’s “History on Tap” program will explore the American Revolution at the General Warren Inne in Malvern.

Historian and author Tom McGuire will present the history of the General Warren Inne, including a vivid description of the inn’s role in the Battle of Paoli and American Revolution, during Monday night’s “History on Tap,” a free program hosted by the Chester County Historical Society (CCHS).

McGuire is an expert in the American Revolution and particularly the Philadelphia Campaign of 1777-1778, including the Battle of Brandywine, Battle of the Clouds, Battle of Paoli, and Valley Forge.  CCHS is pleased to partner with the Paoli Battlefield Preservation Fund in hosting this special History on Tap, a CCHS news release said.

“History on Tap” presents lively history lessons in the casual atmosphere of local bars or restaurants, where participants can purchase food and beverages. The General Warren will offer a special lite-fare menu and specially-priced libations beginning at 5:00 p.m. and continuing after the event, which starts at 6:30 p.m., the release said.

The program is sponsored by Susquehanna Bank and WCHE 1520AM and in partnership with the 1893s (Chester County Historical Society Young Friends Association). The General Warren Inne is located at 9 Old Lancaster Road in Malvern. For more information, visit http://www.generalwarren.com/news-and-events.php.
