Tough night for Blue Demons against Knights’ stifling defense
WESTTOWN — West Chester Rustin clinched its fifth Ches Mont American title in six years, beating Kennett, 39-0, Friday.
It was a difficult night for the Blue Demons (3-6, 2-3 Ches Mont), as they were held under 60 yards of total offense and sophomore quarterback Nick Dunlevy was sacked five times. Dunlevy was held to just 3 yards rushing on 13 carries.
For Rustin, junior running back Terry Looper — clearly the top back in the county — continued his assault on Chester County defenses, rushing for 179 yards on 20 carries.
Kennett wraps up the 2013 season hosting Great Valley next Friday night.
