The Kennett Education Foundation hopes to scare up support for its Monster Mash Dash on Sunday.

Scare up some weekend exercise by participating in the Monster Mash Dash Sunday at Anson B. Nixon Park.

Organizers from the Kennett Education Foundation say the forecast of sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-40s offers perfect running conditions, and it’s not too late to take part in the fun.

Race-day registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Sign in at the tent, and you receive everything you need. The Spooky Sprint starts at 9 a.m., and the Monster Mash 5K begins at 9:30 a.m. For questions, contact Race Director Karen Antell at kj******@***il.com.

Racers are asked to park in the Tino Leto Field parking lot on Walnut Street, just past the Anson B. Nixon entrance on the left.  Give yourself plenty of time to walk to registration.

Participants can also sign up for the costume contest after registering for the event. The costume awards ceremony will begin at the end of the race – about 10:30 – and post-race snacks will be located under the pavilion. Organizers say the competition is heating up among the Kennett schools for the participation trophy.
