Traffic stop in borough leads to drug arrests

Police said two men face multiple charges

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAFollowing a traffic stop in the 500 block of Center Street on Oct. 21 at 9:15 p.m., Kennett Square Police said they arrested Jose Rodriguez, 31, address unknown, for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Rodriguez was arraigned at Kennett district court and remanded to Chester County Prison after failing to post $3,000 cash bail, police said.

Also arrested at the same time was Jose Tenorio-Corona, 37, of Toughkenamon, for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana, police said.  Following his arraignment, Tenorio-Corona was taken to Chester County Prison after failing to post $10,000 cash bail, police said.

On Oct. 18 at 5:27 p.m., police said they were called to the 200 block of Birch Street for two males fighting.  Police said a man reported that he was jumped by two males but could not provide a description.  An investigation is continuing, police said.

A cell phone that was found somewhere in the 200 to 300 block of East Linden Street was turned in to the police station on Oct. 21 at 4:35 p.m., police said.

Kennett Square Police said they cited Susan Caroff, 55, of Kennett Square, on Oct. 18 at 7:57 p.m. for violating a borough ordinance prohibiting annoyance and disturbance by having a continuously barking dog.
