Railroad control box on South Broad Street was targeted

Image 2A railroad control box located in the 500 block of South Broad Street was spray-painted with graffiti sometime between 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, and 9:44 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30, Kennett Square Police said. An investigation is continuing, police said.

On Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 4:02 p.m., Kennett Square Police cited Robert Bishop, 29, of Newark, De., for criminal mischief after he broke a window screen on a residence located in the 100 block of South Willow Street, police said.

On Thursday, Oct. 31, at 4:50 p.m., police said they began investigating a report that between 12 a.m. and 2 p.m., a vehicle parked in the 600 block of South Washington Street was egged.

At 8:02 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, police cited a 14-year-old from Toughkenamon, a 14-year-old from Kennett Square, and a 15-year-old from Kennett Square, for disorderly conduct for egging a vehicle parked in the 300 block of South Washington Street, police said, adding that the juveniles were released to a parent.

Borough police said they are investigating a report that sometime between 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, and 10 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, a bicycle was stolen from a resident’s yard in the 600 block of East Cope Road.

State police from the Avondale barracks are investigating a reported burglary in the 200 block of Kennett Pike, police said. The break-in occurred sometime between 10 a.m. on Oct. 31 and 6:15 p.m. on Nov. 9, police said, adding that a jewelry box and multiple items of jewelry were taken.
