Police: Borough teen cited for possessing drugs, alcohol

Torres, 19, of Kennett Square, was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, possession of an alcoholic beverage, and underage drinking.  Torres was released pending a summons from district court, police said.

Kennett Square Police said they cited Francisco Domingo-Morales, 45, Isaias Ramirez, 27, and Faustino Ramirez-Juarez, 32, all of Kennett Square, for violating the open-container ordinance on Monday, Nov. 4, at 3:40 p.m. in the 500 block of South Union Street under the overpass.

 Daniel Gaona-Renteria, 28, Kennett Square, was arrested for simple assault and harassment for an incident that occurred on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 12:20 a.m. in the 300 block of East Linden Street, borough police said, adding that he was released pending a summons from district court.

Police said they are investigating a reported vehicle break-in that occurred sometime overnight on Monday, Nov. 4, in the 300 block of Church Alley. A GPS unit, flashlight and charger, USB and charging cables, sunglasses, and a bacteria-counting instrument were stolen, police said.

A complaint about a vehicle being struck by eggs in the 100 block of West State Street on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. is under investigation, police said.

Police said they are also investigating a burglary that reportedly occurred sometime between Jan. 31 and Nov. 8 at a vacant property in the 500 block of Southview Avenue, where copper pipe was stolen.

Two criminal-mischief complaints are under investigation, police said. Sometime between Monday, Nov. 4 at 10 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 8, at 11:15 a.m., the driver’s side rear window was smashed on a vehicle parked in the 400 block of West Linden Street, police said. And sometime overnight on Thursday, Nov. 7, a trash receptacle located in the 500 block of West Cypress Street was spray-painted with graffiti, police said.
