Victim allegedly left it in bathroom of East Maple Alley business on Nov. 10

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAKennett Square Police said they are investigating the theft of a wallet that was left in the bathroom of a business located in the 100 block East Maple Alley on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 9:40 a.m. Police said the wallet contained a large amount of cash, a driver’s license and a green card.

Sometime overnight on Monday, Nov. 11, several vehicles parked in the 200 block of Center Street were spray-painted, borough police said, adding that an investigation continues.

Celestino Mercado, 43, of Toughkenamon, was arrested for alleged drunken-driving on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 9:41 p.m. in Kennett Square following a traffic accident at Center and Magnolia Streets, borough police said.  Mercado was released pending a summons from district court, police said.
