KENNETT — Kennett’s girls basketball team started 2013 strong, powering past West Chester Henderson, 34-23, in the opener of the Kennett Invitational Tournament, Friday night.
Jess Hussey led the Blue Demons (1-0) with 18 points and12 rebounds. Haley DeVoe scored seven points in the final quarter — all her scoring in the game — as Kennett broke open a close game. Aimee Armitage added eight points.
