Our community has a great reputation for putting on successful events from the Mushroom Festival to the Brew Fest, to Kennett Run and the Memorial Day parade.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The release said borough officials are looking forward to the event and are working behind the scenes to provide \u201cadequate support services, from public safety to public works. While we are not the event organizers, we do want to ensure that our residents and visitors have a great experience on New Year\u2019s Eve, and we are continuing to evaluate the plan and make recommendations as needed.\u201d<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Mushroom Drop will take place at State and Union at midnight. Organizers said State Street will be closed from Broad to Center, and North Broad will be open for traffic coming from the east side of town. South Broad will be closed between Cypress and State, and South Union will be closed from Cypress to Linden.<\/p>\n<p>From 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., the Funsters, a 10-piece band whose music ranges from Frank Sinatra to the Rolling Stones, the Beatles to Al Green, will perform. The price of admission?
