Diemedio was taken into custody for suspected drunken driving and released pending an appearance in district court, police said.<\/p>\n<p>On Dec. 4, at 11:12 p.m., New Garden Township officers responded to a 9-1-1 hang-up call in the 100 block of Ronway Drive, police said.\u00a0 Upon arrival, the victim was located in her vehicle with the phone; she was visibly upset and bleeding from cuts to her head and face, police said.\u00a0 The victim advised that her husband was out of control and that he had caused the wounds to her face by shattering the glass storm door, police said.\u00a0 Officers located Michael Meyers, 53, inside the residence, and he was taken into custody for simple assault and harassment, police said. Meyers was arraigned and released on $5,000 unsecured bail, police said.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->An erratic driver on northbound Newark Road was reported to New Garden officers on Dec. 7 at 9:09 p.m., police said. Upon arriving in the area, officers found a Dodge truck matching the description in the 200 block of Starr Road and conducted a traffic at the intersection of Penn Green and Starr Roads, police said.\u00a0 The driver, Joseph Vandan, 59, of Newark, appeared to have vomit on his clothing and exhibited several signs of impairment, police said.\u00a0 He was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and was released pending an appearance in district court.<\/p>\n<p>On Dec. 9, at 2:53 a.m., a New Garden officer observed a red Nissan driving erratically in the area of Wilkinson Drive and Watson Mill Road, police said.\u00a0 A traffic stop was conducted, and upon contact with the driver, Billy Eckel, 28, of Newark, De., the officer detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle, police said.\u00a0 Eckel also had a green leafy substance consistent with marijuana in his lap in plain view of the officer, police said.\u00a0 Subsequent to arrest, additional marijuana was located in the vehicle as well as small glass pipe for smoking, police said.\u00a0 Eckel was arrested for possession of marijuana and related offenses and released pending an appearance in district court, police said.<\/p>\n<p>While conducting stationary patrol in the area of Penn Green and Starr Roads on Dec. 13 at 11:30 p.m., a New Garden officer observed a driver spin his vehicle\u2019s tires and accelerate at a high rate of speed through the intersection, police said.\u00a0 The vehicle then crossed the center double yellow lines and made a wide turn onto Gap Newport Pike, police said.\u00a0 A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver, Sergio Davalos-Davalos, 30, of Oxford, police said.\u00a0 Davalos-Davalos exhibited signs of intoxication, smelled of an alcoholic beverage, and failed field sobriety tests, police said.
