Variety of sports activities, summer camps available to area residents\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The Kennett Area Park and Recreation Board (KAPRB) –\u00a0a community-based nonprofit that runs recreational activities in the Borough of Kennett Square and Kennett, East Marlborough, and New Garden Townships –\u00a0has released information on its upcoming lineup of sports and activities:<\/p>\n

\u00a0KAPRB Blue Demons Boy and Girls’ Lacrosse<\/strong>. Coaches will instruct children on the rules and strategies of the game of lacrosse, and help players to develop lacrosse skills.\u00a0 The program will include weekly practices and games. KAPRB Spring Flag Football.\u00a0 <\/b>Teams compete on Sunday mornings at local Kennett fields in this adult league.\u00a0 Registration is now open for teams. \u00a0For more information, visit www.kaprb.com<\/a> or call 610-444-6314.<\/p>\n

KAPRB Men\u2019s Adult Softball and Adult Co-Ed Softball.\u00a0 <\/b>Enter a team in competitive and fun leagues.\u00a0 Games are played at Herb Pennock Park in Kennett Square.\u00a0 For more information, call 610-444-6314.<\/p>\n

KAPRB Summer Camp.\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0Children ages 5 to 13 will enjoy arts and crafts, games, sports, swimming, bowling and other fun field trips in this summer camp. \u00a0The cost for the camp is $750 for the entire eight-week session.\u00a0 This price includes the cost of all field trips. KAPRB Kids Cross Country Race.\u00a0 <\/b>Mark your calendar for Thursday, July 17, for this fun, free event at Anson B. Nixon Park. \u00a0Children enjoy a 1.5 mile race, prizes, t-shirts, food and fun.<\/p>\n
