Noah Lewis will portray Revolutionary War hero Ned Hector during the Chester County Historical Society\u2019s Family Day on Monday, Feb. 17.<\/p><\/div>\n

The Chester County Historical Society is promising an educational, entertaining program of family fun and enrichment on Monday, Feb. 17,\u00a0 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.<\/p>\n

The 2014 Family Day, which will benefit the New Horizons History Education Scholarship Fund, will include crafts, toys, dress-up and stories. Admission is $10 per family and free for members, a CCHS news release said.<\/p>\n

All museum exhibits, including the acclaimed \u201cProfiles:\u00a0Chester County Clothing of the 1800s,\u201d\u00a0<\/i><\/b>will be open. In addition, Noah Lewis, a Revolutionary War reenactor\u00a0will portray Ned Hector, a hero at the Battle of the Brandywine, at 11 a.m.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Other scheduled programs are Colonial and Victorian era activities; plus, Keith Dome will portray a Union private in the 97th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry and will talk about the life of a Civil War soldier, and Morris Farnum will portray a Union chaplain (the 97th had two) and will cover the duties of a chaplain.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
