Hire One, an initiative of the Chester County Economic Development Council, is announcing an employment seminar as well as a new partnership.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The free job information session will be held on Tuesday, March 4, and will cover using education, experience and skills to obtain a job in health care, advanced manufacturing and information technology, said a news release from the Chester County Economic Development Council.<\/p>\n

The keynote presentation, \u201cBoost Your Resilience,\u201d will be given by Dean M. Becker of Kelleher Associates, LLC. Becker is an executive and consultant with more than 25 years of experience selling and delivering executive search, training and coaching services, the release said. Following Becker\u2019s address, industry experts will talk about transferring experience to a new career. Local companies will be available to talk about job openings in the fields of health care, advanced manufacturing, and information technology.<\/p>\n

The seminar, which will include a continental breakfast, will take place at the Chester County Economic Development Council, 737 Constitution Drive, Exton, from 8:45 a.m. until noon. To register, visit\u00a0http:\/\/hireonemarch14.eventbrite.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hire One\u2019s partnership involves Midatlantic Employers\u2019 Association (MEA), which will provide workforce development services, the release said.<\/p>\n

Hire One is Chester County\u2019s private-public partnership program designed to put the county\u2019s unemployed back to work. In its third year of operation, Hire One works with more than 140 companies and a task force of employers, educational institutions and organizations to develop strategies for connecting job seekers to employment. Midatlantic Employers\u2019 Association, located in King of Prussia, is a nonprofit with more than 400 members; it assists area companies by providing a complete range of human resource services, including regulatory expertise, training, benefits and compensation services.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe partnership is a perfect match,\u201d said Gary Smith, president and chief executive officer of the Chester County Economic Development Council. \u201cThe resources of MEA complement our Hire One mission, helping companies stay current as they address the changing needs of today\u2019s employees.\u201d<\/p>\n
