Works from the art collection of the late Madeline Lamb, a lawyer and former board member of the Chester County Art Association, will be sold during CCAA\u2019s Renovation Sale from March 21-27.<\/p><\/div>\n

If you have artwork that isn\u2019t being seeing the light of day for whatever reason \u2013 it\u2019s not your taste or you don\u2019t have space \u2013 the Chester County Art Association (CCAA) has a solution: Donate it to the upcoming Renovation Sale.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The association is collecting artwork until March 15 for a sale that will benefit its capital campaign and building fund. CCAA will welcome any donation of unused or under-appreciated art that people may not want themselves, but would still interest someone else.\u00a0 All artwork will be on display and for sale at CCAA in West Chester for one week from March 21 to March 27.\u00a0 A free, public opening reception will be held on Thursday, March 20, from 5 to 8 p.m.<\/p>\n

Some of the works will come from the\u00a0<\/b>collection of the late Madeline Lamb, a former CCAA board member, lawyer, and patron of the arts.\u00a0 Lamb\u2019s taste in artwork was much like her taste in people: diverse, eclectic and exciting, not linked by any real similarities in look or form, but instead linked by her eye for uncompromising uniqueness, a CCAA news release said.<\/p>\n

\u201cLike her friends, each piece of artwork in her home was chosen with unconditional love and a vision not for how it would fit into her life, but for how she would fit into its life,\u201d the release said. \u201cAnd like her friendships, the connection with each new piece of art came with a story as rich as the colors on the canvas. One of her final wishes was that her artwork would land in the hands of people who would appreciate it as much as she did, and in a small way, that the fragments which made up her life would be small pieces of joy scattered throughout other people\u2019s lives for generations to come.\u201d<\/p>\n

The staff and board at CCAA say they hope the public will help make Lamb\u2019s goal happen, an effort that will also help ensure that the association realize its goal of an expanded facility.<\/p>\n
