{"id":12350,"date":"2014-06-13T11:48:18","date_gmt":"2014-06-13T15:48:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kennetttimes.com\/?p=12350"},"modified":"2014-06-13T11:48:18","modified_gmt":"2014-06-13T15:48:18","slug":"police-blotter-tresspass-dui-dispute","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kennetttimes.com\/?p=12350","title":{"rendered":"Police Blotter: tresspass, DUI, dispute"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kennetttimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/PoliceBlotter-300x256.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-808141\" alt=\"PoliceBlotter\" src=\"http:\/\/kennetttimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/PoliceBlotter-300x256.jpg\" \/><\/a>NEW GARDEN \u2014 Township police charged an Avondale man with creating a disturbance at his former place of employment, on June 6.<\/p>\n<p>Police were called to a business on the 700 block of Newark Road.\u00a0Upon arrival police were advised the company had terminated Juan Zavala-Nunez, 27,\u00a0but had allowed him to stay in his room on the property for a few days. \u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Reportedly, Zavala-Nunez had become intoxicated and was causing problems with other employees so management asked him to leave.\u00a0 Zavala-Nunez was visibly intoxicated, police said.\u00a0 Due to his condition, company officials agreed to let him stay in his room until he sobered up. Police said Zavala-Nunez was advised through a translator he needed to stay in his room and not cause any further problems.<\/p>\n<p>But later that day, At 3:12 pm, township police were again called back, as Zavala-Nunez was reportedly throwing rocks at employees.\u00a0 Zavala-Nunez was taken into custody for Public Drunkenness and released to his brother.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, on June 5,\u00a0township police were called with a report of an erratic driver on Gap Newport Pike that reportedly had pulled into a parking lot at Newark Road and Gap Newport Pike.<\/p>\n<p>Police said witness accounts had the vehicle tailgating, disregarding stop signs and driving into the oncoming lane of travel on multiple occasions, almost causing a collision. \u00a0Witnesses also said, according to police reports, that in parking lot the driver wearing a blue shirt, switched positions with a passenger and moved to the back seat.<\/p>\n<p>Police said they contacted the subject in the blue shirt who had bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his person.\u00a0 Juan Rivera-Martinez, 45 of Avondale admitted, police said, to consuming approximately 10 beers and that he had been driving.\u00a0 Rivera-Martinez was unable to complete Field Sobriety Tests due to his level of impairment, police said. \u00a0He was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.\u00a0 Rivera-Martinez was processed and released pending an appearance at Magisterial District Court 15-4-04.<\/p>\n<p>A passenger in the vehicle, Rodrigo Flores-Lopez, 18 of Avondale, also admitted to consuming beer and was cited for Underage Drinking, police said.<\/p>\n<p>A township man was cited for disorderly conduct, after police were called to a Cambridge Road home, after a report of a domestic disturbance. On June 3, police arrived at the home and were advised that a man had yelled obscenities at his father and step-father.\u00a0 Following an investigation into the incident, Christopher Jannaman, 22 of Landenberg was advised that he would be receiving a citation for Disorderly Conduct, police said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NEW GARDEN \u2014 Township police charged an Avondale man with creating a disturbance at his former place of employment, on June 6.
