A potential comeback started as junior quarterback Nick Dunleavy marched his team down to the Royal 30 yard line, where he would be sacked on fourth down resulting in a turnover on downs.

The Royals scored twice more in the following five minutes. A Jordan passing touchdown to junior wide receiver Nate Stewart had the Pius X team up 35-2 and an interception from Dunleavy late in the fourth that was run back made the game completely out of reach at 42-2.

Whatever signs of life Kennett showed came at the end of the fourth quarter, when sophomore Frank Perrigo received the Royal kickoff and ran the ball from one end zone to the other with 26 seconds left on the clock. With a successful two point conversion, Kennett was down 42-10, which is where the score stayed for the rest of the game.

Come out and see the Kennett Blue Demons redeem themselves at their homecoming game against Oxford at 7pm at the Kennett Stadium.
