{"id":13487,"date":"2014-10-20T15:42:54","date_gmt":"2014-10-20T19:42:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kennetttimes.com\/?p=13487"},"modified":"2014-10-20T15:42:54","modified_gmt":"2014-10-20T19:42:54","slug":"three-arrested-on-drug-charges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kennetttimes.com\/?p=13487","title":{"rendered":"Three arrested on drug charges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kennetttimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/NGDrug-Arrest-10-16-2014-300x300.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-964641\" style=\"margin: 4px;\" alt=\"NGDrug-Arrest-10-16-2014\" src=\"http:\/\/kennetttimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/NGDrug-Arrest-10-16-2014-300x300.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>NEW GARDEN \u2014 After tips from the public led to an undercover operation and a two-month investigation township police announced Monday that they had arrested and charged three local residents with various charges related to allegedly operating an illegal drug sales operation out of a Baltimore Pike home.<\/p>\n<p>Police said they executed a search warrant on Oct. 16,in the early morning hours, at\u00a0947 Baltimore Pike for\u00a0drugs, paraphernalia and other material related to alleged drug sales coming from the\u00a0aforementioned location. The\u00a0warrant was obtained at the conclusion of a two-month investigation\u00a0involving the following law enforcement agencies, the New Garden Township Police,\u00a0Kennett Square Borough Police, Chester County Detectives Office and members of the\u00a0Chester County Municipal Drug Task Force who were on-hand to assist in this\u00a0endeavor.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The three charged were: Andrew Kriegh, 32,\u00a0Paul Hannum, 21 and\u00a0Gloria Kriegh, 57.<\/p>\n<p>Township police say they launched an investigation after several anonymous tips were received\u00a0warning about the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics from the Baltimore\u00a0Pike residence.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the information identified two brothers as being involved in the\u00a0drug sales; Andrew Kriegh and Paul Hannum, police said.\u00a0During the investigation, police conducted an undercover operation, which they said\u00a0resulted in several successful purchases of illegal drugs from the defendants at\u00a0their residence. Based on this information, investigators successfully obtained a\u00a0search warrant for defendants&#8217; residence.<\/p>\n<p>Police officers from the aforementioned departments executed the early morning\u00a0search warrant without incident. During the search, authorities said, investigators located and\u00a0seized illegal drugs and other material used to support the defendants&#8217; drug\u00a0distribution operation. Undisclosed amounts of prescription medication,\u00a0marijuana, suspected LSD and MONA, yet to be identified drugs, packaging\u00a0materials, digital scales, and paraphernalia were reportedly recovered.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew Kriegh and Paul Hannum were both charged with multiple counts of\u00a0Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Possession of a\u00a0Controlled substance and related offenses. Andrew Kriegh and Paul Hannum\u00a0were charged and arraigned before Magisterial District Justice Matt Seavey; they\u00a0were remanded to Chester County Prison after failing to post bail.<\/p>\n<p>Gloria Kriegh who is the mother to the other two suspects was\u00a0charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug\u00a0Paraphernalia; she was released pending a preliminary hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Township Chief of Police Gerald Simpson said he and his department appreciated the role that the public played \u2014 in tipping off authorities \u2014 in making this arrest possible.
