\"UTKellyColumn<\/a>I am a huge fan of Barney\u2019s Department Store creative genius, Simon Doonan, and his\u00a0exquisite fashion sense; HOWEVER, his \u201cTop 10 Holiday Gifts for Every Fashion Girl\u201d via\u00a0PopSugar (http:\/\/bit.ly\/1FcR4sR<\/a>) was a little out of my price range. I decided to take his\u00a0recommendations and make them feasible for all. Simon\u2019s choice is pictured on the left,\u00a0Kelly\u2019s on the right:<\/p>\n

\"ThisorThat\"<\/a>While an Alexander Wang white leather wristlet for $695 would make a lovely wrapped gift\u00a0under the tree, I\u2019d be equally thrilled with this bright red, zipper accessorized version from\u00a0Botkier for $98.<\/p>\n

\"ThisorThat2\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Simon\u2019s suggestion of a Chloe striped bikini (retails for $320) would be perfect for getting\u00a0whisked away postDecember\u00a025th for an island vacation. Since neither of those things will\u00a0likely be happening for me, I\u2019ll offer you JCrew in this retro pattern for around 90 bucks.<\/p>\n

You already know my feelings about Birkenstocks. Simon picked these metallic Birks as the\u00a0answer to a comfortable flat in between parties. Thanks, but no thanks. My choice would be\u00a0the sherpa lined, glittery UGG smoking loafer. Infinitely cuter and about $40 cheaper.<\/p>\n

Simon and I both agree that every fashionable gal NEEDS a fur scarf this holiday season. His\u00a0is from Barney\u2019s and is (most certainly) from an actual animal since it costs $450. Mine is from\u00a0Target and is faux and fabulous at $23.<\/p>\n

\"ThisorThat5\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Sunglasses are as essential in winter as in the heat of the summer. The difference here?\u00a0About $295! His are from Stella McCartney, mine are from H&M.<\/p>\n

\"ThisorThat6\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Gorgeous drop earrings are a wardrobe staple. Simon chose the Irene Neuwirth pair for\u00a0$4,000, mine are Kendra Scott for $60. Both would pack a punch to any outfit. However, you\u00a0would not have to sell a kidney first to purchase mine.<\/p>\n

\"ThisorThat7\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Who wouldn\u2019t love a fur lined parka to protect against bonechilling\u00a0temperatures? You could\u00a0ask Santa for the Mr+Mrs Furs Reversible version at $4,970 or the slightly more reasonable\u00a0Banana Republic option for $250.<\/p>\n

\"ThisorThat8\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I write often about the style elevating power of a great lipstick. While there is nothing wrong\u00a0with the $36 Givenchy, one of my all time\u00a0favorites, NARS Heat Wave, will save you $10!<\/p>\n

The quintessential party dress. Never more necessary than when the calendar is packed with\u00a0parties. Simon chose a $525 IRO sideruched\u00a0number while I went with this cute Madewell\u00a0frock for $168.<\/p>\n

Last ,but not least, is the neutral hued suede bootie. Soft, warm and comfortable, you will\u00a0wear these all winter long. The question is \u201chow much do you want to spend?\u201d Isabel Marant\u00a0for $625 or Sam Edelman for $130? (Dying over the fringe, too\u2026.right?)<\/p>\n
