From left: Michael Dankowski, Michael Lane, Maria Mc Donald, Judy McGlew.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>EXTON \u2014 Maria McDonald, Executive Director of Chester County Futures \u00a0and Judy McGlew, Senior Development Officer , accepted a $5,000 grant from Michael Dankowski, Assistant Vice President and District Manager for Wells Fargo Brandywine Valley; Michael Lane, Store Manager and Vice President for Wells Fargo.<\/p>\n<p>The grant will support the organization\u2019s Passport to College program. Passport to College (grades 9-12) is an enrichment program focused on preparing economically disadvantaged students for academic and personal success.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Maria McDonald, Executive Director notes, \u201cWells Fargo takes a multi-pronged approach with their community support.\u00a0 In addition to this meaningful financial contribution, Wells Fargo helps to deliver our Financial Literacy curriculum, providing professional volunteers in our after-school sessions. We count on our corporate partners to help us deliver impactful programming to some of Chester County\u2019s most vulnerable youth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chester County Futures serves economically disadvantaged students in five county school districts: Coatesville, Phoenixville, Oxford, Kennett Consolidated and West Chester. During the 2014-15 school year, Chester County Futures expects to serve 457 students: 298 in grades 6-12 and 159 in post-secondary school.<\/p>\n<p>Chester County Futures administers after- school academic enrichment classes and learning opportunities focused on improving life skills, attaining scholastic success and thriving through adolescent development.
