Courtesy the Sanderson Museum.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>CHADDS FORD \u2014 Two years after the speech in Gettysburg that touched the nation, President Abraham Lincoln died at the hands of John Wilkes Booth.<\/p>\n<p>This important statesman was assassinated in 1865, 150 years ago, while watching \u201cOur American Cousins\u201d with his wife, Mary Todd Lincoln, at Ford\u2019s Theatre in Washington, DC.\u00a0 Chris Sanderson memorialized this famous man by collecting many very interesting and unusual artifacts which will be on display for this special exhibit. A Preview Event sponsored by Galer Estate Vineyard and Winery will be held on Thursday, April 16 from 5pm to 8pm and is open to the public. The exhibit will be on display until July 31.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Sanderson Museum represents a man\u2019s life and a nation\u2019s history. It contains an eclectic array of art, military memorabilia, presidential artifacts, local history, and collectibles.\u00a0 Open March through November, Thursday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm or by appointment.
