Lloyd Smucker (PA-16) has\u00a0announced the 2017 Congressional Art Competition for Pennsylvania\u2019s 16<sup>th<\/sup> Congressional District.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m thrilled that I have opportunity to showcase the artistic ability of students in our communities,\u201d said Rep. Smucker. \u201cThe winner of the competition will have their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol for all members, staff, and visitors to view throughout the year. I encourage students to submit their artwork, and I look forward to seeing all the submissions.\u201d<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Artwork must be two-dimensional. Each framed artwork can be no longer than 26 inches high, 26 inches wide, 4 inches deep, and should weigh no more than 15 pounds.<\/p>\n<p>Accepted mediums for the competition are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Paintings: oil, acrylics, watercolor, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Drawings: colored pencil, pencil, ink, marker, pastels, charcoal (it is recommended that charcoal and pastel drawings be fixed)<\/li>\n<li>Collages: must be two dimensional<\/li>\n<li>Prints: lithographs, silkscreen, block prints<\/li>\n<li>Mixed media: use of more than two mediums<\/li>\n<li>Computer-generated art<\/li>\n<li>Photographs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All artwork must be delivered to Rep. Smucker\u2019s Lancaster office, located at 51 South Duke Street, Suite 201, Lancaster, PA 17602, <u>by April 26<sup>th<\/sup>, 2017<\/u>. More information about the 2017 Congressional Art Competition, as well as the application, can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/smucker.house.gov\/services\/art-competition\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Three winners will be selected:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>First place<\/strong>: Artwork hung in hallway from Cannon House Office Building to U.S. Capitol Building<\/li>\n<li><strong>Second place<\/strong>: Artwork hung in Rep. Smucker\u2019s Lancaster office<\/li>\n<li><strong>Third place<\/strong>: Artwork hung in Rep.
