COATESVILLE \u2014 The Brandywine Health Foundation has announced 30 grants totaling $824,000, bringing the Foundation\u2019s total giving since it began awarding grants and scholarships in 2002 to more than $16.5 million.<\/p>\n

The Coatesville community has an extraordinary and impressive group of non-profit agencies providing high quality, critical services to its neighbors. Vanessa Briggs, President and CEO remarked, \u201cThe foundation continues to take the lead in partnering with non-profit organizations doing transformational work on behalf of our neighbors here in the greater Coatesville community.\u00a0 We remain committed to creating a culture of health and making Coatesville a greater place to live, work, play and pray through the foundation\u2019s strategic priorities: health equity, healthy youth and healthy community.\u201d The foundation\u2019s grantmaking committee led by Margaret Rivello, vice chair, Brandywine Health Foundation, carefully reviewed several dozen proposals which led to the foundation\u2019s Board of Directors unanimous approval of each of the community grants below.<\/p>\n

We extend our congratulations to the following non-profit agencies and community organizations receiving FY 2018 grants from the Brandywine Health Foundation.<\/p>\n

Priority 1, Health Equity \u2013 Ensure that every resident of the Greater Coatesville community has the opportunity to make choices that will allow them to live a long and healthy life, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, disability, income or background.<\/em><\/p>\n

  6. Valley Youth House<\/strong> ($5,000)<\/li>\n
  7. Volunteer English Program in Chester County<\/strong> ($7,000)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Priority 2, Healthy Youth \u2013 Empower youth aged 12 \u2013 24 in our community to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle, cultivate leadership skills and experience, and achieve their goals for the future. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n
