J. McCarthy. \u201cTheir life-saving skills are invaluable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Longwood Fire Company is providing lunch for the EMS crew each day next week.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>National EMS Week began in 1974 when President Gerald Ford authorized EMS Week to celebrate EMS practitioners and the important work they do in our nation&#8217;s communities. EMS Week brings together local communities and medical personnel to honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine&#8217;s front line.<\/p>\n<p>Longwood Fire Company has served the communities of Kennett, East Marlborough, Pennsbury and Pocopson townships since 1921. Longwood Fire Company provides fire and rescue and emergency medical services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
