WEST CHESTER \u2014 Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan announced\u00a0 Wednesday\u00a0that <\/span>veteran prosecutor Andrea Cardamone has been<\/span> promoted to Deputy District Attorney.<\/p>\n

“Andrea is a strong <\/span>and tireless prosecutor,” Hogan said in a news release announcing the promotion. “<\/span>She is well-respected by<\/span> Chester County law enforcement. She also has been adding supervisory duties to her workload. She has<\/span> earned this promotion<\/span> to <\/span>Deputy District Attorney<\/span>.<\/span>“<\/span><\/p>\n

Cardamone, who has more than 15 years experience working in the District Attorney’s Office, said she felt lucky to work with such a strong team of people in the county courthouse.<\/p>\n

“I consider myself incredibly lucky<\/span>. <\/span>I have the best job in <\/span>the world, and I get to <\/span>do it in an amazing office and an amazing county,” Cardamone said. “Between my colleagues, Chester County l<\/span>aw enforcement, <\/span>and all the various court offices and court personnel, I get to work with exceptional people every day. It is <\/span>a pleasure and a privilege to work in the Chester County District Attorney’s Office<\/span>.<\/span>“<\/span><\/p>\n

Cardamone grew up in Gladwyne. <\/span>She received her undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University<\/span>. <\/span>She received her law degree from Harvard Law School.<\/p>\n

When she <\/span>graduat<\/span>ed from law school, she joined the Philadelphia office of Dechert LLP,<\/span> a presti<\/span>gious international law firm. In 2002, she <\/span>joined the Chester County District Attorney’s Office.<\/p>\n

Most recently,\u00a0 Cardamone convicted former Coatesville Area School District Superintendent Richard Como in a complex corruption case and convicted Andre Rashodd Smith of first degree murder in a Coatesville stabbing case.\u00a0\u00a0Cardamone<\/span> also works with First<\/span> Assistant District Attorney Michael Noone to coordinate the investigation <\/span>and prosecution of rape cases throughout Chester County.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
