\"\"<\/a>Yes, I know that this does not really have ANYTHING to do with fashion.\u00a0 BUT, you are a captive audience and this is what I\u2019m in the mood to discuss today\u2026<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s do this!<\/p>\n

  1. The \u201ccheck-in\u201d.\u00a0 No one cares or is remotely interested in the fact that you are at the Red Robin in Downingtown on a Wednesday night at 6:03pm. \u00a0I mean it.\u00a0 It\u2019s what everyone is thinking when they see that.<\/li>\n
  2. Stop the relentless posting about your political perspective.\u00a0 Honestly, watching a political race is like sitting through \u201cDumb & Dumber 2\u201d.\u00a0 If either party had all the answers, we wouldn\u2019t be in the predicament we\u2019re in now.\u00a0 And, until we\u2019ve all read (and apply the practices of) \u201cThe Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother\u201d, we\u2019re never going to get it right.<\/li>\n
  3. Photos of oozing, red and swollen \u201cfresh\u201d tattoos are nauseating.\u00a0 Plus, my opinions about tattoos have yet to be written\u2026.and heads up, it ain\u2019t good.\u00a0 Wait for it\u2026.<\/li>\n
  4. Why do people take pictures of what they are eating for dinner?\u00a0 This one always makes me laugh.\u00a0 I just don\u2019t get it!\u00a0 And, I\u2019m no \u201cDr. Oz\u201d, but a plate of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and corn does not constitute dinner.\u00a0 It\u2019s a trip to the ER for an angioplasty.<\/li>\n
  5. UN-edited \u201cGirls Night Out\u201d photos.\u00a0 OYE.\u00a0 I will be the first to admit to being in some \u201cmildly inappropriate\u201d photos with my friends (where we may or may not be dancing at clubs until 4 o\u2019clock in the morning).\u00a0 HOWEVER, we all are wearing clothes that fit us, we all have lip gloss on and we aren\u2019t holding CANS OF BEER and\/or CIGARETTES.\u00a0 Eeeew.\u00a0 Seriously, gross.\u00a0 Having a fun night out does not mean that you still shouldn\u2019t act like a lady.\u00a0 ESPECIALLY when you are more \u201cmature\u201d in age.\u00a0 Taking pictures of your friend in a keg stand when you are 40 is horrifying.\u00a0 Not to mention, someone could break a hip.<\/li>\n
  6. Using Facebook as a means of therapy is just awkward for all of us.\u00a0 Are we supposed to \u201clike\u201d when your relationship is \u201ccomplicated\u201d or when you have gone from \u201cmarried\u201d to \u201csingle\u201d?\u00a0 And, if you are sad and distraught, seek professional help.\u00a0 Social media is not an effective anti-depressant.<\/li>\n
  7. Beware of \u201ccreepers\u201d.\u00a0 AKA, people who like to scan your page and look at your pictures but never comment.\u00a0 That is, until they slip up when they see you at Wawa and proceed to comment on photos that you posted THREE YEARS AGO\u2026..Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Well, that is the end of my rant.\u00a0 I feel MUCH better.\u00a0 Good thing I have this column to air my grievances.\u00a0 Lord knows, I shouldn\u2019t put them on Facebook\u2026<\/p>\n
