In addition, PennDOT identified the following potential trouble spots for Kennett-area motorists:<\/p>\n<p>Utility installation will create lane restrictions on Route 41 at First Avenue on Monday through Wednesday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Intermittent land closures for road improvements are planned for US-1 in Kennett Township between Greenwood and Hamorton Cutoff Roads from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until May 25.<\/p>\n<p>Utility relocation and shoulder work will create brief stoppages on Route 52 in Pennsbury Township between US-1 and Route 926 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through September.<\/p>\n<p>Concrete repair will spur lane restrictions on US-1 in both directions between Kennett Pike and Route 796. The work, which will be done from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., will affect motorists in New Garden, East Marlborough, Kennett, and London Grove Townships.<\/p>\n<p>Bridge-cleaning on US-1 will necessitate lane closures between Route 41 and the Maryland state line. The work, which will be done Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., will occur in London Grove, Penn, Upper Oxford, Lower Oxford, East Nottingham and West Nottingham Townships.<\/p>\n<p>Paving on US-202 in Westtown and West Goshen Townships will continue with lane closures between Matlack Street and Route 100 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. The road\u2019s shoulders will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Concrete repair on Market and Gay Streets in West Chester will require lane restrictions between Matlack and Worthington Streets from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Southbound Route 100 in West Goshen Township will be reduced to one lane through November near the US-202 ramp for sound-wall construction.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PennDOT warns area motorists of troublespots Line-painting trucks, lane restrictions, and lane closures are among the potential traffic-jammers on tap for area residents, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
