Sue Crume<\/p><\/div>\n

CALN \u2014 Brandywine Hospital \u2013 Tower Health announced Sue Crume and John Brunner have joined the Hospital\u2019s Board of Trustees effective July 1, 2020.<\/p>\n

Crume is a retired teacher for the Santa Maria-Bonita School District in California where she spent 17 years teaching a fifth-grade class and two years teaching a bilingual first-grade class. In addition to her teaching roles, she served as Written Language Chairperson on the Curriculum and Instruction Committee and Language Arts Committee member. After retiring in 2013, Ms. Crume moved to Pennsylvania. Ms. Crume holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies with multiple subject teaching credentials and a Master of Arts degree in Reading Instruction \u2013 both from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. She also has a California Language Acquisition Development (CLAD) certificate, English as a Second Language (ESL) training, and National Writing Project Fellowship through University of California, Santa Barbara.<\/p>\n

John Brunner<\/p><\/div>\n

Brunner is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who has 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry. He is currently executive director of Freedom Village at Brandywine, a senior living community in West Brandywine Township. Prior to his tenure at Freedom Village, Mr. Brunner served in a variety of senior-level financial roles for other healthcare businesses, including Home Health Corporation of America in King of Prussia and Yves Rocher, Inc., in West Chester. Mr. Brunner holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. He resides in Downingtown and is active with the Chester County Economic Development Council\u2019s Health Care Connect initiative and is the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Committee Chairman for BSA Troop 8 of Hopewell United Methodist Church in Downingtown.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are pleased to welcome Ms. Crume and Mr. Brunner to Brandywine Hospital\u2019s Board of Trustees,\u201d said Brandywine Hospital Interim CEO Vik Acharya. \u201cThey both bring unique and valuable educational and professional backgrounds to our organization.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Brandywine Hospital Board of Trustees consists of 13 community volunteers. In addition to Ms. Crume and Mr. Brunner, the Board includes representatives from nonprofit organizations, businesses, education, real estate and healthcare.<\/p>\n
