Chester Regional Police sign extension for police services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-15587\" src=\"https:\/\/kennetttimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/sochestpolice.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"225\" \/>On February 10th, 2022, the Public Safety Commissioners for the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department approved a three-year extension for police services in the Borough of Avondale retroactive to January 1st, 2022, through December 31st, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>After a brief and positive negotiation with the newly elected Mayor and Council from Avondale, the Avondale Borough Council unanimously approved the contract for police services on February 1st, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Although Avondale is not a partnered member of the Regional Police Department, the contract is designed to deliver public safety services to all connected communities, making law enforcement and public safety functions nearly seamless. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Chief Gerald R.
