Visit mnwildrice.org to vote by September 30th!<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Minnesota Cultivated Wild Rice Council is asking for your help in celebrating National Rice Month by voting for your favorite wild rice recipe in the \u201cPeople\u2019s Choice\u201d category of the 15<sup>th<\/sup> Annual <em>\u201cGet Wild with Wild Rice\u201d<\/em> recipe contest. Creative and mouth-watering wild rice recipes were submitted from all over the country in the categories of soups, salads, sides, and entrees. Now we need your help in declaring a winner. \u201cRun-offs\u201d were held earlier this summer to determine 11 finalists which are competing for your vote, a cash prize, and the coveted title of \u201c<em>People\u2019s Choice Champion<\/em>!\u201d The delicious recipes are featured on the Council\u2019s website where you can also cast your vote! Visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mnwildrice.org\/\">mnwildrice.org<\/a> to vote!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">National Rice Month was established in 1991 to increase the awareness of rice and recognize the contribution the rice industry makes to America\u2019s economy. Preparing one of our new delicious wild rice finalist recipes is a perfect way to join in this annual celebration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Often referred to as the \u201cCaviar of Grains\u2122,\u201d wild rice has long been a favorite of cooks who use it in soups, salads, appetizers, sides, main dishes, and even desserts. Wild rice, a natural food with no preservatives or additives, is a whole grain containing no sodium, sugar, saturated fat or cholesterol and has more protein and fewer calories than white or brown rice. Wild rice is gluten-free and a great source of dietary fiber, phosphorus, calcium, and iron\u2026all part of a healthy, well-balanced diet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Celebrate National Rice Month by voting for your favorite recipe in our \u201c<em>Get Wild with Wild Rice<\/em>\u201d recipe contest by visiting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mnwildrice.org\/\">mnwildrice.org<\/a> and helping one lucky finalist take home the cash prize! Visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mnwildrice.org\/\">mnwildrice.org<\/a> to vote by September 30<sup>th<\/sup>!<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 cups cooked wild rice<br \/>\n\u00be cup each: shredded carrots and frozen baby peas<br \/>\n1 egg, lightly beaten and softly scrambled<br \/>\nthinly sliced scallions and toasted sesame seeds, garnish<\/p>\n<p>Sauce (whisk together):<br \/>\n2 tbsp each: canola oil and low-sodium soy sauce<br \/>\n1 tsp toasted sesame oil<br \/>\n2 cloves garlic, grated<br \/>\n1 tbsp grated fresh ginger<br \/>\n1 tsp kosher salt<br \/>\n\u00bc tsp white pepper<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In large skillet, combine wild rice, carrots, and sauce; cook until carrots are tender. Stir in peas and egg; heat through.
