Click or tap to follow the link.\" href=\"http:\/\/mushroomfestival.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/mushroomfestival.org<\/a>).<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">Now in its fourth decade, the annual party is expected to draw thousands of festival fans and mushroom lovers.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">Some of the main attractions are the Amateur Mushroom Cook-off, the \u201cCute As A Button Contest,\u201d an Antique and Classic Car Show, the State Street Festival and the Fried Mushroom Eating Championship.<\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">On September 6, the festival gets underway at 10 a.m. with the opening of the Street Fair and the Growers\u2019 Exhibit. The festival will run until 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">The National Fried Mushroom Eating Championship is scheduled for 11 a.m. on September 7. As drinking water was avoided like the plague, beer was a major dietary staple in the colonies, consumed by everyone from cradle to grave.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">Brewfest attendees will be able to sample many of the best regional and national craft beers by more than 50 brewers.<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">Locally sourced food will be available from Cantwell\u2019s Tavern.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">Additionally, artisan vendors will be on site and live music will be provided by Spokey Speaky, Bruce Anthony, Lester\u2019s Pearl and The Sheehan Brothers.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">All attendees have access to food and merchandise vendors, live bands, sponsor tables, and more during the entire event. The Saturday evening \u201cBlack Tie Gala, Silent Auction and Art Show Preview\u201d is the prelude to the main event, the Concours d\u2019Elegance on Sunday.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">The event also includes Motorsport Park, providing local marque car clubs the opportunity to gather in an exclusive parking area close to the show field entrance on Sunday, as well as a Cars &amp; Coffee gathering on Saturday concurrent with the road rally. If you fall into this category, you should check out the show on Saturday. A wide array of\u00a0reptiles will be on display as part of the popular exhibition, which is an annual event that is closing in on its silver anniversary.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">One of the show\u2019s main attractions is a sales exhibit area featuring many vendors with live\u00a0reptiles, amphibians and arachnids as well as food items, supplies, books, cages, and related accessories.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">Some of the featured vendors are AZO\u00a0Reptiles, Rose\u2019s\u00a0Reptiles, Darin\u2019s Toybox, Blake\u2019s Exotic\u00a0Reptiles, Dower\u00a0Reptiles &amp; Rodents,\u00a0Reptile\u00a0Kingdom, DHA Pythons, Gecko Haven,\u00a0Hunger\u00a0Reptiles, Jungle Emporium,\u00a0Delaware Turtle,\u00a0Just Lizards, Outback\u00a0Reptiles, RKZ Rodents. The event\u2019s spotlight will shine on the toys from the 60\u2019s, 70\u2019s, 80\u2019s and 90\u2019s \u2013 and more.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">Retro Con is pop culture and memorabilia show catering to anything considered \u201cretro\u201d \u2014 especially the 80\u2019s \u2013 things like Transformers, Star Wars, GI Joe, Ghostbusters, He-man, and classic video games.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">There will be more than 200 tables of collectibles and art for sale, as well as special guests, video games, a costume contest, raffles, a trivia contest, panels, replica props, and much more.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">The show will run from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $5 for adults with children (under 12) admitted free.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">As always, the festival is a juried event that brings more than 250 artists and crafters from more than 15 states to Josephine Gardens to exhibit and sell their work.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">The list of featured categories includes mixed-media, clothing, bears, stoneware, watercolors, lamps, ironwork, herbs, bonsai, wood type, glass, acrylic, weaving, stenciling, pastels, scarves, etchings, photography, sculpture, jewelry, raku, and leather.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">There will also be vendors offering a wide variety of food items at the festival, which is scheduled to run from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">The West Chester Railroad (<a id=\"OWA26290dee-98a2-d742-c584-e7b829658454\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\" href=\"http:\/\/www.westchesterrr.net\/\">www.westchesterrr.net<\/a>) is running its \u201cSummer Picnic Specials\u201d every Sunday in September 18. This weekend, the list of options includes German, Lebanese, Ethiopian, Latin American, Brazilian and Polish.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">The 88th Annual Oktoberfest will be held on September 6 at the\u00a0Vereinigung \u00a0Erzgebirge (130 Davisville Road, Warminster, <a id=\"OWAaba290e2-279c-cd73-30e6-da8364db4bae\" class=\"OWAAutoLink\" title=\"Protected by Outlook: http:\/\/veclub.org\/oktoberfest. This year\u2019s Faire will take you back in time to the year 1558.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">More than 70 shows are scheduled throughout each day on the Faire\u2019s numerous stages.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">Without a doubt, the most popular attraction is the Jousting Arena. Visitors to the Faire flock to Bosworth Field whenever it\u2019s time for the Ultimate Joust. Peasants lead cheers for their favorite knights while musicians pound out a heart-thumping beat. Morris acted as a farmer, shipowner, miller, iron master, shop owner, and owner of the mill now known as\u00a0Mather\u00a0Mill. Hope Lodge is an excellent example of early Georgian architecture, and it is possible that Edmund Woolley, architect of Independence Hall, offered advice in building.
