Many July arrests in borough were alcohol-related, police said<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Alcohol-related incidents dominated the Kennett Square police blotter for the bulk of July, police said today.<\/p>\n

Sergio Hernandez-Guzman, 20, of Kennett Square, was arrested for suspected drunken driving after a traffic stop in the 400 block of Birch Street on Sunday, July 8 at 1 a.m.; he\u00a0 was released at his residence pending a summons from district court, police said.<\/p>\n

Police said officers cited Jose Ortiz, 57, of Avondale, for driving under the influence during a traffic stop in the 100 block of West Cedar Street on Tuesday, July 10, at 1:44 a.m.\u00a0 He was released at his residence to await a district court summons, police said.<\/p>\n

Raymundo Diaz-Arellano, 23, of Kennett Square, was detained for suspected drunken driving at a traffic stop on Friday, July 13, at 10:50 p.m. in the 500 block of Rosedale Road, police said, adding that he was released to a friend pending a district court summons.<\/p>\n

A traffic stop in the 200 block of South Walnut Street on Saturday, July 14, at 9:47 p.m. resulted in the arrest of Jesus Guzman-Torres, 26, of Kennett Square, for alleged drunken-driving. Police said he was released to a family member pending a summons from district court.<\/p>\n

Kennett Square police said officers arrested Earl Randolph, 54, of Kennett Square, for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop in the 600 block of West State Street on Friday, July 27, at 12:46 a.m. He was released to Lancaster City police for an outstanding felony warrant.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, July 12, police said they cited Eduardo Gomez-Perez, 18, of Kennett Square, for underage drinking following a traffic stop at South Washington and West Mulberry Streets at 12:16 a.m. Gomez-Perez was released at his residence, police said.<\/p>\n

Police said Rene Manzo-Luna, 25, of Kennett Square, received a citation for public-drunkenness on Friday, July 13, at 2:04 a.m. in the 100 block West State Street.\u00a0 He was released at his residence.<\/p>\n

Kennett Square police said curfew-violation citations were issued to a two West Grove teens, one 14 and one 15, on Tuesday, July 1, at 11:55 p.m. in the 600 block of West Cypress Street.\u00a0 Both juveniles were released to a parent, police said.<\/p>\n

Kennett Square police said a warrant has been issued for Jamaal Chavis, 29, New Castle, De.,\u00a0 for an alleged retail theft that occurred Wednesday, July 11, at 6:16 p.m.\u00a0 in the 100 block of South Mill Road.<\/p>\n

Police said charges were lodged July 16 against Clemente Luna-Moran, 28, of Kennett Square, for an alleged burglary that occurred on Friday, July 13, between 7:20 and 7:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Linden Circle.\u00a0 Luna-Moran, who was video-arraigned, was transported to Chester County Prison after failing to post $15,000 cash bail.<\/p>\n

Kennett Square police said Emanuel Zavala, 20, of Kennett Square, was arrested for simple assault and harassment for an incident that occurred on Monday, July 16, between 10 and 11:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Race Street.<\/p>\n

Adbel D. Molina-Rosario, 23, of Kennett Square, was arrested for simple assault and harassment for an incident that occurred on Friday, July 20 at 9:54 p.m. in the 500 block of South Union Street, police said.\u00a0 Police said he was video-arraigned and released on $5,000 unsecured bail.<\/p>\n

Police detained Emanuel Zavala, 20, of Kennett Square, on Monday, July 23 at 4:05 p.m. in the 100 block of North Broad Street on an outstanding bench warrant, police said, adding that he was transported by constables to Chester County Prison.<\/p>\n

Police said they are investigating the report of an attempted burglary of a building in the 200 block of West State Street sometime between Friday, July 20, and Tuesday, July 24. Officers are also investigating the theft of a train horn sometime between 1:08 and 2:04 a.m. on Thursday, July 26, from a business in the 500 block of South Broad Street.<\/p>\n
