volleyball before 7th grade when it becomes officially offered as a sports option in the area schools, KAPRB decided to launch a twice a week, co-ed volleyball program. Every Tuesday and Thursday night since early September, kids 8 – 12 years of age have come to learn how to bump, set, serve and hit. Most importantly, the kids have had the chance to handle a volleyball and learn about how the game is played.<img decoding="async" title="More..." src="http://www.unionvilletimes.com/wp-includes/js/tinymce/plugins/wordpress/img/trans.gif" alt="" the kids’ enthusiasm and seeing how much they advance every week.” say s Scott.

The enthusiasm does not end with the kids – even the parents have been excited about this program. Sandra Jansons, mother of 11 year old Mara said “I commend whoever created this league. It is perfect for kids to receive the basics of volleyball. It is well organized and the coaches are fantastic with the kids. My daughter has gained not only skills in volleyball but confidence in general and friends.” Claudette Hercules who has been faithfully bringing young Munachie Ikeme to practice said that the program “gives the kids a better insight on how to manage the game. The kids have done well all together and the coaches are very patient.”

Volleyball is offered only in the fall (September through the end of October) and space is limited to 30 kids. With such rave reviews from parents and kids, we expect
