Thomas J. Goggin, a veteran of the Phoenixville Police Department, has moved to the Chester County Detectives.<\/p><\/div>\n

Two respected county law-enforcers were sworn in Monday as Chester County detectives, District Attorney Tom Hogan announced.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

James F. Ciliberto, a longtime state trooper, and Thomas J. Goggin, a veteran of the Phoenixville Police Department, took the oath before President Judge James P. MacElree II, Hogan said.<\/p>\n

\u201cJim Ciliberto and Tom Goggin are experienced, aggressive, and dedicated investigators,\u201d Hogan said. \u201cThey have worked with and earned the respect of law enforcement throughout Pennsylvania.\u00a0 The Chester County Detectives are continuing to add to their already strong ranks.\u201d<\/p>\n

James F. Ciliberto, a longtime state trooper from the Avondale barracks, was sworn in Monday as a county detective.<\/p><\/div>\n

Prior to joining the Chester County Detectives, Ciliberto worked with the Pennsylvania State Police at the Avondale barracks for over 20 years, Hogan said, adding that Ciliberto has\u00a0extensive experience working homicide, child abuse, and other major cases.\u00a0 \u00a0A graduate of West Chester University, where he earned a summa-cum-laude degree in history, Ciliberto has been named Trooper of the Year on multiple occasions, Hogan said.<\/p>\n

Goggin joins the Chester County Detectives after completing over two decades with the Phoenixville Police Department, where he handled cases ranging from street crime to complex homicides.\u00a0 He received his undergraduate degree in organizational management from Eastern College and his master\u2019s degree in criminal justice from West Chester University.<\/p>\n

\u201cDetectives Ciliberto and Goggin have demonstrated their abilities over the years, and they know Chester County backwards and forwards,\u201d said Hogan. \u201cWith their addition, the Chester County Detectives will continue to work with law enforcement across the county to keep Chester County a safe place to live, work, and raise a family.\u201d<\/p>\n
