David Sampson, 30 of Landenberg, committed the offenses Feb. 7, 8, and 9, police said, adding that the dogs were aggressive with the public and the police.<\/p>\n<p>In one instance, video surveillance showed the dogs chasing another dog off its property on Feb. 7.\u00a0 That dog is still missing, and the owners are offering a reward for her return, police said. Daisy is described as a gentle dog with a soft tan coat and black ears. She weighs 32 pounds and has a purple collar and tag and a red electric-fence collar, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-268-3171.<\/p>\n<p>In other New Garden Township Police news, Jennifer Schappert, 40 of Landenberg, was cited for public drunkenness on Jan. 31 after being found lying in the grass.\u00a0 Police responded to the 700 block of Newark Road at 8:49 p.m. and made contact with Schappert, who stated she was walking home from a night out; police said she appeared to be intoxicated and disoriented and was uncooperative, police said.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Jose Luis Polo-Baez, 23 of Kennett Square, was taken into custody and charged with assault and related offenses following an incident in a vehicle in the 1000 block of Newark Road.\u00a0 Polo-Baez struck his girlfriend in the face and stomach several times and bit her finger during an argument, police said.\u00a0 A judge on call arraigned him and transported to Chester County Prison after failing to post 10 percent of $7,500 bail, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Saul Alverez, 23 of Wilmington, De., was charged with robbery, aggravated assault and related offenses stemming from his involvement in multiple robberies Jan. 19 at several locations within the township and surrounding municipalities, police said, adding that Alverez was arrested following a vehicle pursuit that ended in Delaware.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus Lopez-Vasquez, 44 of Kennett Square, faces simple assault charges stemming from a Jan. 29 incident, police said. Lopez-Vazquez intentionally struck another occupied vehicle in a parking lot with his vehicle multiple times in the 300 block of Scarlett Road, police said.\u00a0 Lopez-Vasquez reportedly followed the victim\u2019s vehicle for a considerable distance. flashing his headlights and refusing to pass when the roadway allowed, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Drunken-driving charges were lodged against Juan Vazquez-Herrera, 23, of Wilmington, De., following a traffic stop on Feb. 4 in the 1600 block of Baltimore Pike, police said.\u00a0 Vazquez-Herrera was observed swerving over the center line multiple times; when contact was made, he exhibited multiple signs of intoxication, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Tammy Johnson, 27, of Kennett Square has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and related offenses, police said.\u00a0 Officers were called to the 1300 block of Newark Road on Feb. 8 for the report of the possible heroin and needle found on Johnson, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Paul Roten, 68, of Kennett Square, was cited for public drunkenness on Feb. 10after police found him carrying alcohol and stumbling in the 700 block of West Cypress Street, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Albert Kucharski, 49, of Wilmington, was taken into custody on Feb. 12 and charged with multiple counts of theft and related offenses, police said.\u00a0 Kucharski committed several thefts within the past couple months from numerous businesses totaling over $13,000, police said, adding that some of the businesses were victimized more than once.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Owner is offering reward for Daisy&#8217;s safe return A Landenberg man who repeatedly allowed his aggressive dogs to run loose \u00a0has been cited for multiple dog-law violations, New Garden Township Police said.
