Anyone can log onto the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.connectpoints.org\">website<\/a>\u00a0or call the toll free number (800) 935-3181.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe\u00a0<i>ConnectPoints<\/i>\u00a0makes it easier for those needing housing help,\u201d said Chester County Commissioner Chair Ryan Costello.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Commissioner Kathi Cozzone said\u00a0<i>ConnectPoints<\/i>\u00a0is another step for the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.decadetodoorways.com\">Decade to Doorways program<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a plan to prevent and end homelessness in the county in the next decade,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n<p>Commissioner Terence Farrell explained the importance of centralized information about housing services in the county.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve approved a contract for 18 months with Family Service of Chester County to implement\u00a0<i>ConnectPoints<\/i>,\u201d Farrell said. \u201cThe program fulfills a United States Housing and Urban Development requirement that all communities receiving federal funding have a central coordinated access point.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><i>ConnectPoints<\/i>\u00a0is a single point of entry to access emergency shelter beds, real time knowledge of available shelter beds across the county, and prevention and diversion services to keep people from entering the homeless system.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ConnectPoints\u00a0lists contact numbers for those seeking shelters in Chester County WEST CHESTER \u2013\u00a0ConnectPoints, Chester County\u2019s new Homeless Coordinated Assessment System will be\u00a0operational on Monday, July 1.
