\u201cThumbelina,\u201d a sculpture by Jean Cheeseman. will be on display starting Sept. 6 when the Chester County Art Association\u2019s debuts it 2013 Invitational Art Exhibition at a fund-raising gala.<\/p><\/div>\n

The Chester County Art Association (CCAA) will open its most anticipated show of the year this weekend: the 2013 Invitational Art Exhibition.<\/p>\n

The 2013 Invitational will debut with a Gala Cocktail Party fund-raiser on Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. The show brings together roughly 70 of the area\u2019s finest artists in all media: painting, watercolor, sculpture, ceramics, photography, mosaic, textile art, and mixed media.\u00a0 All artwork is for purchase.<\/p>\n

The exhibition, which opens to the public on Saturday, features emerging artists as well as well-established artists of national and international reputation.\u00a0 The artwork runs the entire gamut from representational art to abstraction.<\/p>\n

Diane Cannon\u2019s \u201cHurry\u201d will be part of the Chester County Art Association\u2019s 2013 Invitational Art Exhibition.<\/p><\/div>\n

<\/b>Tickets for the fund-raiser are $125 per person and will include cocktails, hors d\u2019oeuvres provided by Roots Caf\u00e9, and live music by Rob Dickenson. They can be purchased at the door or by calling 610-696-5600, ext. 13.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The exhibition and art sale will continue through Saturday, Oct. 11. The Chester County Art Association is located at 100 North Bradford Avenue in West Chester. Gallery hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The galleries are open to the public, and admission is free.
