{"id":9419,"date":"2013-11-04T15:24:29","date_gmt":"2013-11-04T20:24:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kennetttimes.com\/?p=9419"},"modified":"2013-11-04T15:24:29","modified_gmt":"2013-11-04T20:24:29","slug":"borough-police-hope-someone-can-id-alleged-thief","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kennetttimes.com\/?p=9419","title":{"rendered":"Borough police hope someone can ID alleged thief"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: medium;\">He reportedly used counterfeit license to sell counterfeit coins<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_9420\" style=\"width: 152px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/kennetttimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Image-31.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9420\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9420 \" style=\"border: 2px solid black; margin: 4px;\" alt=\"Kennett Square Police said a fraudulent New York driver's license was used by a man who sold counterfeit coins, and police are hoping someone may recognize him.\" src=\"http:\/\/kennetttimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Image-31.jpg\" width=\"142\" height=\"204\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-9420\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Kennett Square Police said a fraudulent New York driver&#8217;s license was used by a man who sold counterfeit coins, and police are hoping someone may recognize him.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A thief used a fake ID when he sold counterfeit coins last month to a borough business, Kennett Square Police said.<\/p>\n<p>Police said they received a report from a business located in the 100 block of West State Street that a male entered the business on Oct. 2 with several U.S. silver dollars that he wanted to sell.\u00a0 After checking a few of the coins, the business bought all of them, police said.\u00a0 Upon further examination, it was determined that most of the coins were counterfeit and that the suspect used a counterfeit N.Y. driver\u2019s license, police said, adding that an investigation is continuing.<\/p>\n<p>On Oct. 23, Kennett Square officers arrested two 14-year-old males, a 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old male, all of Kennett Square, for possession of marijuana and criminal trespass on Robinson Way, police said.\u00a0 All of the juveniles were released to parents\/guardians pending charges being filed with juvenile authorities, police said.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->A 17-year-old male from Kennett Square, was cited for a curfew violation on Oct. 23 at 11:10 p.m. in the 100 block of Marshall Street, police said, adding that he was released to a guardian.<\/p>\n<p>Police said they are investigating several reported thefts.\u00a0Sometime overnight on Oct. 24, Pennsylvania license plate ZBJ4802 was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 400 block of South Walnut Street, police said. A solid steel storm grate was stolen from Meredith and West Cedar Streets sometime between Oct. 9 and Oct. 30, police said. Twenty feet of copper wire was cut from a building located in the 200 block of South Mill Road sometime Oct. 29 at 1 p.m. and Oct 30 at 4 p.m., and 10 15-feet pieces of aluminum were taken from a building located in the 200 block of South Mill Road sometime between 4:30 p.m. Oct. 24 and 8 a.m. on Oct. 28, police said.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>He reportedly used counterfeit license to sell counterfeit coins A thief used a fake ID when he sold counterfeit coins last month to a borough business, Kennett Square Police said.
