Drexel Hill Man Arrested in Turnpike Shooting
On June 3, 2026, the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Tuften Green, 31, of Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, after he fled from police and was placed on a wanted list. Defendant Green was charged with Attempted Murder, Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and other related charges. The Defendant was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Lauren Holt and remanded to Chester County Prison without bail.
The arrest stems from the incident that occurred on March 28, 2026, when Pennsylvania State Police were notified of a possible shooting on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Troopers arrived to find the 28-year-old driver shot in the chest. Another adult and 3-year-old passenger were also in the vehicle. The driver was taken to Paoli Hospital and treated for his injuries. Investigators learned from the passenger that after leaving a residence in Philadelphia, they had been traveling home when they noticed a black Suburban following them. As the family continued to travel westbound on the PA Turnpike, the Suburban activated red and blue emergency lights and initiated a traffic stop with an additional Honda CR-V following close behind. Two males wearing all black approached the victims’ vehicle, and one of the males wore a hat with “Police” written across the top. The suspects demanded the victims’ licenses, but the victims asked for their badge numbers and threatened to call 911. One defendant began firing at the victim’s car as they drove away, striking the victim once in the chest and hitting the side of the vehicle multiple times. Another suspect also continued to fire on the vehicle.
Investigators were able to identify the perpetrators Defendant Tuften Green, Roberto Morel, 51, and Terrell Adams, 38. Approximately six bullet holes were observed on the vehicle, with three of the windows shot out, and five spent shell casings were located on the northern shoulder of the roadway. Defendants Morel and Adams were arrested on April 21, 2026.
Man Convicted of Assaulting a Chester County Prison Corrections Officer
On June 5, 2026, a jury convicted Defendant Sincere Brown, 26, of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, of Aggravated Assault, Assault by Prisoner, and Simple Assault after the defendant punched a corrections officer in the face multiple times unprovoked. The two-day jury trial was held before the Honorable Court of Common Pleas Judge Bret Binder. The Defendant will be sentenced at a later date.
Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe said, “Corrections Officers have a difficult job and should never be attacked while at work. I am grateful that the jury took this case seriously and held the Defendant accountable.”
Chester County Detectives were the lead investigating agency. Assistant District Attorney Sharuk Amra was the assigned prosecutor.
