Public’s help sought to ID man believed to have hit same pharmacy on Aug. 12
On Monday at approximately 12:40 p.m., the New Garden Township Police Department responded to a reported retail theft that had just occurred at the CVS Pharmacy at 730 Newark Road, a news release said.
Police recognized the suspect from footage released in connection with thefts at the same store on Aug. 12. The suspect, described as a thin, white male in his 20s with receding brown hair, a mustache and goatee, was captured by a surveillance camera loading two shopping baskets with baby formula, valued in excess of $600, the release said.
The suspect, who fled the store without paying for the items, was wearing the same blue plaid shorts as before with a gray t-shirt with an Atari logo on the front of it, the release said. He entered a dark blue or black four-door sedan, believed to be a newer model Dodge Avenger, and fled toward Rt. 41, the release said.
Anyone who can identify the suspect or has information is urged to contact the New Garden Township Police Department at 610-268-2907, ext. 100, or its Anonymous Crime Tip Line at 610-268-2907, ext. 222.
Our welfare system provides for free formula for women in need for their babies. So why the need to steal. Isn’t this family aware of this law if they are on the up and up?
